Country Jess is Ready To Promote Her New Album

Jessica Simpson appeared on The View last Thursday and performed her first single "Come On Over" from her new country album. "Come On Over", "Come On Over" seems like I've heard a blond sing that before... but it wasn't county. She did have big boobs, but there was cleavage (unlike Ms. Simpson's appearance on The View) Oh Ya, that's right... isn't that the name of a Christina Aguliera song? Now I have that song in my head.

Back to Jess, nothing new to report- she's still with Tony, mentioned nothing of wedding bells when asked (she's hopeful; just got to keep him away from Chicago alone with his buddies), and sorry Dallas- the Cowboys won't go to the Super Bowl if the pair are still together 8 weeks into the season. Uma Engaged... Third Time a Charm?

Uma Thurman is engaged... again. For the third time this minx is set to walk the aisle with her Swiss multimillionaire boyfriend, Arpad "Arki" Busso. They started dating last summer and over the weekend Uma received a 8 plus carat center stone surrounded by 20 smaller stones.

Why is Amy Winehouse famous again? I mean who decides the fame game really? She wrote a song about going to rehab, not the Rehab on Sunday afternoons at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, but the actual rehab. That should have been a sign.

Victoria's Secret Receiving Criticism... Again

Here we go again- Seems like once a week Victoria's secret is get flack from some person or entity. (We didn't even report the incident where a woman tried on a thong and the decorative metallic detail flew off and hit her in the eye).

This week is no different as now the University of Minnesota is getting into it themselves with company known for it's sexy lingerie and even sexier models.

Some school officials are taking issue with the license of the school name with Victoria's Secret Collegiate line. Apparently the school does not want to be associated with the likes of a company that produces lingerie.

Thirty-two other schools in the line have no opposition to the licensing of their school's logo to the company.

As of today (Friday) the University of Minnesota line is still available for purchase online. [Star Tribune]

The Devil Doesn't Wear Vatican Shoes

Actress Anne Hathaway just last week broke up with then boyfriend Raffaello Follieri, an Italian entrepreneur.

Entrepreneur he wasn't. Con artist he was. Follieri swindled up to $6 million from real-estate investors while posing as a top Vatican official. Individuals who were taken advantage of include Ron Burkle, a former aide to President Bill Clinton.

The money he got from the investors funded a very lavish lifestyle for him and the actress.

It is not known if someone leaked information to Ms. Hathaway that the New York Attorney General's Office was eying Mr. Follieri's charity that Hathaway herself sat on the board.

Follieri planned to fly to Italy today to celebrate his 30th Birthday but is now in a Manhattan prison with a $21 Million dollar bail.

As reported in People magazine this week Hathaway told the London's Sunday Times in February 2007 that,

Follieri was a positive influence who helped bring her out of a lengthy depression. "He's brought out so many positive attributes," she said. "Before I met him, I wasted so much time. I was just annoying and narcissistic and smelled bad. He's protective without being possessive, passionate without needing to show his temper."

Mayer Has Manners; Is Still Crazy

Is John Mayer crazy? While yes he is! According to yesterday's NY Post, Page Six,  he called Minka Kelly (then girlfriend) to tell her he was dumping her because he was dating Jennifer Aniston and that he "loves her" before it hit all the celeb tabloids and blogs.

NY Post, A Kelly pal said, "Minka received a call from John prior to the story breaking about his relationship with Jennifer. He apologized to Minka, 'Sorry, but I'm really in love.' " She found that interesting as, "during his relationship with her, John mentioned, 'I don't really get this Jennifer Aniston thing.' " Mayer's rep declined to comment.

What a nice guy! Wait a minute... what a stupid guy! For real John, your gonna dump this little beauty Minka Kelly for how old is she now? Jennifer Aniston!
