Gasoline Gallery, Southern California’s premier hot-rod and low-brow gallery is proud to present “Savage Beauty”; a high-octane exhibition of all new works by America’s foremost neo-noir painter. James Owens.
In the spirit of vintage pulp cover artists as well as pin up artists like Gil Elvgren and George Petty, James Owens creates works that are edgy and sexy. Studio works presented in the exhibition highlight the dark and dangerous inhabitants of a noir world as well as the beauty of the female form.
An opening reception was held on Saturday, April 10th, 2010 at Gasoline Gallery in El Segundo, CA.
Among the celebrities, Traci Lords (Cry Baby, Zack and Miri Make a Porno,) Ross McCall (Band of Brothers, Crash,) and Paul Dooley (Breaking Away, Sixteen Candles, Hairspray.)
The exhibition runs thru May 1, 2010. Gallery Hours: Tuesday – Saturday 12:00PM – 5:00PM. Gasoline Gallery is located at 423 Main St. in El Segundo, CA.
