Jimmy Kimmel is set to host something else besides his late night talk show; he has been named the host of the 64th Annual Emmy Awards.

The Emmys air live on Sunday, September 23 on ABC.

It looks like Britney Spears will do anything to promote her new album Femme Fatale, but does this latest stunt (literally) go too far?

Johnny Knowville appered on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night and brought along with him a scene cut from Jackass 3D in which Spears' cameo had her partaking in a stunt called Poo Cocktail Supreme.

Charlie Sheen Kisses Jimmy Kimmel!

Charlie Sheen is spreading the love appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night where let's just say he defiantly showed his "love" for the late night talk show host -- so much so, he planted a big kiss on him.

Just as Jimmy was asking Mark Cuban about a business deal with Charlie Sheen, Sheen appeared on the set and gave Jimmy a kiss he'll never forget.

Charlie told Jimmy after the lip lock,
 

"Your lips are very moist."

Jimmy Kimmel Still Does Show During Blackout

Jimmy Kimmel Live has gone dark. By that we don't mean the show is canceled a la Conan O'Brien, by that we mean it literally went black.

Just as the show was to start taping on Monday night the power went out in the studio. As the saying goes, the show must go on, and for Jimmy and his staff it did!

As E! posted about the incident,

"We had a power outage at the studio tonight," he tweeted. "No one was killed. Shot the whole show on my MacBook. It will air tomorrow night instead."

If you will recall the power went out last year while Craig Ferguson was taping The Late Late Show on CBS. Maybe it's a jix on late night TV. You don't see this shit happening on The View or ro Regis & Kelly now do you?

Jimmy Kimmel To Take Over Barbara Walters Spot As Host of 'Oscars' Special

Jimmy Kimmel is use to his late night gig and had much success on Sunday night with his Jimmy Kimmel Live- After the Oscars special. Next year we might be seeing a whole new side of Jimmy, a whole lot earlier in the night. According to Popeater the late night funny man rumored to be replacing Barbara Walters for it's annual Oscars Special.

"Jimmy is a rising star at ABC, and with his hilarious post-Oscar special already huge with the younger demographic everyone wants to reach," a friend of Jimmy tells me. "It makes perfect sense for ABC to want to replace Barbara with funny Jimmy."
