LAURENT GILBERT- founded AmoreMagazine.com in 2003 out of a dream he had while in college at the University of Southern Maine where he earned his Bachelors of Art degree in Communications. He also holds an Associates in Applied Science degree in Video & Multimedia Technology. The Maine native, he has been in the media business for over 12 years starting as a Production Assistant at WMTW-TV in Portland, Maine (ABC Affiliate.) When he's not working on AmoreMagazine.com, he enjoys politics (Laurent's father is the Mayor of his hometown,) running, ice hockey, music, and nights out with friends. His favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Kings. His favorite band is Dave Matthews. His favorite TV shows are Entourage, Californiacation, Curb Your Enthusiasm, How To Make It In America, United States of Tara, Hung, and Real Time with Bill Maher. His biggest celebrity crushes include Blake Lively, Hayden Panettiere, Ashley Greene, and Colbie Caillat. His favorite cities to visit are Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Dear Denise Columnist- DENISE SHANNON- is originally from the Midwest but has also lived in the South, the Eastern Seaboard and now makes her home in New England. She earned a BS in Marketing from Kansas State University and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. In addition to writing, Denise is a model/ actor and has appeared in a number of television commercials and is also a violinist with a local symphony.
Denise is working on her first book, tentatively titled “The Business of Dating” – a guide for women who are dating and looking for tips to make the process more enjoyable and productive.
KATE CASEY- is a PR pro representing law firms. She spends her entire day talking to reporters, watching, and reading the news. As a result she tends to retain useless information about pop culture. She the person you want to invite to your parties. She know things before they run in the tabloids. You want to talk politics? Done. You want to talk about antitrust law? Let's do it. Want to chat about the latest celebrity in rehab? It's on.
Kate is originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania (outside of Philadelphia). She went to college and worked in Washington DC before moving to Los Angeles. Now she lives in Newport Beach, California. She is married to a really smart, sweet guy. She and husband Dan have an adorable baby girl. Mia looks just like her dad, but seems to be a chatterbox like her mother. Kate takes her to sign language and music classes and feeds her organic baby food, but probably expose her to too much reality TV.
She loves the BRAVO network. She is pretty sure she is too old to watch "The Real World." She tends to believe US Magazine over People. Her friends are all hilarious. Her sister drives her crazy. Her biggest dream would be hosting Saturday Night Live. She is not a great driver, but a good cook. She loves karaoke. Mayonnaise makes her sick. She thinks pantyhose are the devil's fabric and would be happy to never see a snow shovel again.
