Katy Perry and John Mayer are back together. Barfff.

This news comes two-months after their first split, both Katy and John were at her new Beverly Hills mansion for a Memorial Day barbecue with friends according to Us Weekly.

"They seem to be back together -- or back together-ish," one observer tells Us. "They were very flirty and having a really good time together. They have good chemistry."

The duo started casually dating in the summer of 2012, and let's face it - will it last again? Probably not considering he hasn't lasted long with any lady.

John Mayer Talks Katy Perry Split on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)

John Mayer finally opened up about his relationship with Katy Perry and their recent breakup on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

He told Ellen on Tuesday:

"It was a very private relationship going in, It was a private relationship during and it's a private relationship still."

"I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I have given, but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other," he explained. "I've been much happier since then."

He followed with:

"I'm on the same journey as everyone else, coupling is a tricky thing."

In a new CBS News interview with John Mayer, the singer opens up about his previous relationships telling CBS News:

“I was just a jerk.”

And on his current relationship with Katy Perry:

“I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. For the first time in my life, I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I really don’t.”

“I’m saying that for me it feels like something that’s very human.”

Are John Mayer and Katy Perry still together? That's the big question of the day, as the New York Daily News posted that the Daily Mail is reporting that John was spotted out with HBO's Girls actress Allison Williams (Yes, her father is NBC News anchor Brian Williams.)

John who was/is dating Katy Perry were together as recently as last week's Presidential Inauguration.

The beautiful 25-year-old actress, who was said to be dating Ricky Van Veen, Mayer’s good friend and CollegeHumor founder and CEO, stunned attendees at an event at Manhattan’s Jane Hotel on Friday night when she walked in with the musician.

The two attended an intimate event for the fashion store American Two Shot where an onlooker told the British tabloid that, “John had his arm around Allison’s waist. They talked for a bit before leaving.”

The article went on to say:

“They seemed to be in an intense conversation the entire night. They stayed pretty late until the restaurant was clearing out,” a witness told the Daily Mail.

John and Katy started dating in June after her divorce from Russell Brand.

Sources did mention that John and Allison are just friends... of course... until they are dating.

John Mayer Upset With Taylor Swift's Song About Him

John Mayer and Taylor Swift have been battling each other in the media for about as long as they've known each other. In the latest issue of Rolling Stone John tells the magazine that Taylor's song Dear John, about him, really bothered him.

“I never did anything to deserve that [song]. It was a really lousy thing for her to do . . . I know she’s the biggest thing in the world, [but] that’s bull[bleep].”

Of course he's never offended any of his past loves... remember when he said Jessica Simpson was sexual napalm?!

The duo almost had a face-to-face  at a restaurant in L.A. on Tuesday night after the Rolling Stone article was published.

“Taylor very visibly — in front of the entire restaurant — demanded to be moved to the other side,” our spy said. “The bar’s usually an oasis of calm and privacy for celebrities and power players, but this was drama central.”

VH1′s 'Tough Love' Host, Steve Ward Gives John Mayer Dating Advice

John Mayer has been though a lot in his life including his dating life, but with all the A-Listers he's been able to win over the last thing you think he would need is dating advice.

That is just what he did however, when Mayer asked VH1's Tough Love host, Steve Ward for his honest opinion.

Ward told CelebBuzz,

“When he had me alone, John asked me what I thought about his love life, so I told him point blank, ‘I think you got a chip on your shoulder, man. You’re pissed off about your childhood or being bullied, and now you unfortunately take it out on women.’”

“I told him he had to realize that he had won. He was ten times more successful than the next most successful person to come out of his high school. And odds are, they had to graduate to be that successful. I told him, ‘If I were you, I’d pat myself on the back, and let go of it,’” he recalled.
