Carrie Underwood Marries NHL Player Fiance Mike Fisher

Carrie Underwood, 27, is officially off the market and stole her man off the ice for their big day. On Saturday the country singer tied the knot with NHL player Mike Fisher, 30, of the Ottawa Senators. The ceremony took place in at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga., the ceremony cost more than $500,000.

"We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us!" the newlyweds said in a statement they signed "Mike & Carrie Fisher."

As for the honeymoon?

Fisher was tasked with coordinating the honeymoon. "[Planning] that was Mike's project," she said at the CMA Fest last month.

"It's a surprise. I have no clue where we are going, which is nice. I know it will be warm, that's about it."

Carrie Underwood Busy Planning A Small Wedding

Carrie Underwood doesn't do much stuff small these days, from concerts to TV appearances, to her latest #1 single Temporary Home, but when it comes to weddings, hers will be small. The country singer is busy planning her special day when she ties the knot with her NHL player fiance and Mike Fisher.

The songstress told Extra,

"We're trying to keep it as small as we possibly can, but you know, obviously, there's certain people we have to have there," Underwood told "Extra's" AJ Calloway

What about Simon Cowell attending? "I don't know. I don't want him to judge my wedding," the singer laughed.

We only beg the question, is Mike going to invite the whole hockey team???

Carrie Underwood Rips It Up In Vegas For Bachelorette Party... Sorta!

It may not have been any where near as crazy as a Hangover type bachelorette party, after all when it's a party for "good girl" Carrie Underwood how crazy can a party get, right? Well, Underwood and her entourage ripped it up in Vegas over the weekend for her bachelorette party.

Eyewitnesses tell Hollyscoop that Carrie and a group of her girlfriends were dancing the night away at LAVO at the Palazzo Hotel in Vegas.

Sources tell us that "she was very tamed and did not wanna attract any attention."

Carrie was on her best behavior throughout the night. She was just having a great time dancing with her girlfriends.

Proof that one can have a conservative bachelorette party in Vegas. It's just that this was the first one ever in the history of Las Vegas!

On Sunday night the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards took place in Las Vegas and the biggest winner of the night was by far Carrie Underwood who took home the award for Top Entertainer of the Year. This is the second year Underwood wins the award, and the first time for a back to back win by a female in that category.

The top group was Lady Antebellum which took home five awards including Top Vocal Group and Single Record of the Year for, Need You Now.

Brad Paisley won Top Male Vocalist of the Year, this is the forth time in a row the singer has won that category.

Miranda Lambert won Top Female Vocalist of the Year and for Album of the Year for Revolution.

The big surprise of the night was that Taylor Swift was nominated for five awards and didn't win any of them.

Carrie Underwood is officially engaged -- this comes as much talk about the country singing starlet who would not live with her boyfriend until they were married. Her now fiance is Ottawa Senators' Mike Fisher.

As Underwood's rep told People magazine,

"I'm happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn't be happier, No wedding date has been set at this time."

Carrie Underwood decided to go the way of Elisha Cuthbert and Hilary Duff when it comes to romance and is dating a hockey player. So who's the  lucky puck (get it) is Ottawa Senator's Mike Fisher

According to the Ottawa Citizen,

The struggling Ottawa Senators are in Buffalo for a game Tuesday night against the Sabres. Reached Monday at practice, Mr. Fisher declined to talk to reporters about his romance with the country singer who is a multi-platinum recording artist and Grammy-award winner.

“I can’t comment on anything in my personal life, so that’s about all I can say. I don’t really want to say anything,” he said.

But indications are the romance continues to grow and that the country singer and vegetarian has already met most of Mr. Fisher’s family.

Oh no- come on, they are "just friends," and being from Oklahoma Ms. Underwood is just a big hockey fan having grown up with a rink in her backyard. Yes, we are being sarcastic.
