Victoria Beckham and I have differing views on exercise.
She believes it should be limited. Sweating should be minimal. The appropriate attire includes a long wool coat and stiletto boots. One’s hair should be kept long and flowing. Makeup should be dewy and fresh.
I work out every day. It helps me stay awake since I hate coffee and I have three kids under the age of 4. I like to wear running shorts and a breathable top so my body doesn’t overheat and I can continue living. My hair is always pulled back so I don’t eat my hair mid-run. I forgo makeup because I like to keep my pores open and I hate the feeling that my skin is in a makeup prison.
But today I decided I should consider her approach. She’s got long arms and legs free of muscle, which is probably easier to work with when you want to jam yourself into a jumpsuit. So I threw on a bedazzled necklace and Lauren’s grandmother’s cropped cheetah fur coat. But I kept on my sneaks because I was concerned I might break my legs. And you know what? I was right. I felt like I was going to vomit. So I am going to stick with my old routine. You are quite a woman, Vicki Beckham. I tip my tennis visor to you.
