Whitney Port & Lauren Conrad: Still Besties!

Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad are still BFFs no matter what the chatter on the blogs will have you believe.

It was reported last week in Us that Whitney had blamed Lauren for the cancellation of Whitney's MTV show The City.

Whitney wants to clear the air and posted this to her blog:

"I just want to clear up that everything is fine between Lauren and me.   So to put the rumor to rest, I wanted to let you know that there are no hard feelings between us!  I shared something so amazing with her and just because the show is over doesn't mean our friendship is over!"

See it's all good! All this ruckus and not even over a man. Come on people!

After Two Seasons MTV Cancels 'The City'

Whitney Port's days of ruling The City are over. The Hills spin-off has been officially canceled by MTV according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show lasted two seasons.

“‘The City’ will not be returning to MTV for season three,” an MTV spokesperson tells THR exclusively. “Whitney has been a part of our family for many years and we wish her and the cast the best, and hope to collaborate with them again.”

Whitney does have a fashion line she can fall back on for now.

Whitney Port Calls Castmate Olivia Palermo "Selfish"

Whitney Port made the big move to The City, then launched her own clothing line, but today the only thing Whitney Port is launching is a possible fight.

On New York magazine's The Cut blog, Port answers to someone who, let's just say, isn't on her party guest list. That includes fellow co-star on The City, Olivia Palermo.

Palermo is a reporter for Elle.com and will not support Port's clothing line, Whitney Eve.

I was not so surprised by that. Olivia and I have never really been the best of friends. You know, at the time, yes, I was a little bit hurt because it wouldn’t have really taken that much for her to interview me for elle.com, and as a "journalist" or whatever she is for the magazine, your opinion doesn't really matter. Your job is to interview someone and then report it, but she made it personal. I think that there's obviously some level of insecurity on her part, and she's showing it. I don't know that she knows that she's showing it, but it definitely comes through. It was a little bit hurtful, but Olivia's one of those people who doesn't care about anybody but herself. That's why it's not so surprising because she doesn't want to help anybody else out. She's only out for herself. So, if I expected something different from her, then maybe I would have been more hurt, but it's like the same old thing with her.

Whitney Port To Pen A Book For Young Women

Every mother wants their daughter to grow up to be a fashionable lady. It's important early in life she has such good role models to influence her. The City star Whitney Port wants to be one of those role models. Port plans to write a book titled True Whit, due to be release in 2011. Unlike her former co-star on The Hills Lauren Conrad who wrote two novels this is a non-fiction guide to be a twenty-something female. 

As People reports,

In what her publisher describes as a "conversational, fun, and candid guide for girls looking to start out [in life] with style, " the Whitney Eve designer plans to write personal stories, and advice for young women.

"Being a twenty-something can be a difficult phase," says Port, 25. "There are so many questions, and I wanted to write about my experiences for anyone who needs help navigating through life."

Port also has her own fashion label, Whitney Eve, which she launched in 2009.

Whitney Port Being Sued Over Not Paying Designer For Her Clothing Line

Like most of The Hills stars, Whitney Port's had launched her own clothing line in 2007, but the
difference with her line from that of say, Lauren Conrad is that another designer claims Port's designs are actually hers.

Designer Adrienne Baravetto is suing Ms. Port who had orally agreed to pay Baravetto to design but has not paid her any amount of money for designs she claims are hers that use Port's Eve & A label.

As first reported by TMZ.com, Baravetto alleges she had an oral agreement with Port and her father, including a $80,000 yearly salary plus a 25 percent stake in the company. Baravetto also alleges that she did virtually all the design work and that the Ports haven’t paid her a dime. Port’s lawyer Michael A. Taitelman tells PEOPLE, “The lawsuit that Adrienne Baravetto filed on March 19, 2010 against Whitney Eve, Inc., Whitney Port and others regarding the Whitney Eve clothing line is baseless and without merit. Whitney Port is, and always has been, the designer of Whitney Eve. Baravetto worked for Whitney Eve for a short period of time ending in early 2008.

Wait Whitney Port really designs her own line? If so she is the first actress to do so?! Who has time for that? Really?!

Whitney Port Leaves The City For The Beach

Whitney Port Will Make It In New York

Whitney Port is ready for prime time with a life of her own. The Hills scarlet is set to star in her own show called The City tonight at 10PM Eastern on MTV.

A statement from MTV released in October about the show states,

"Surrounded by all new friends, pursuing a fresh love life and starting to work in the upper echelon of the fashion industry is a lot to navigate for a new girl in the big city... especially one who has everything to lose," the release reads. "In a city full of people with their own agendas, Whitney will have to quickly decide who she can trust and who to stay away from."
