Kristen Bell talks how her public outcry of boycotting paparazzi photos of celebrity children has helped, her attachment parenting, public breastfeeding, and husband Dax Shepard in the pages of the July issue of Cosmopolitan.
On No Kids Policy:
“We simply aren’t followed anymore.”
“We have peace, quiet, and the ability to be a normal family out and about in the suburbs of Los Angeles."
On attachment parenting:
“We didn’t co-sleep other than the first few weeks,” says the actress. “Lincoln sleeps wonderfully on her own and likes being in her crib by herself, and I let her breastfeed until she decided she was done.”
“I definitely value giving her alone time so that when she inevitably isn’t the center of everyone’s universe when she gets a little bit older, it doesn’t feel like the rug is pulled out from underneath her.”
On breastfeeding in public:
“They’re just boobs! Calm down. They’re under our shirt whether you’re looking at them or not.”
On hubby Dax Shepard:
“I love him just as much as the day I met him, partly because he’s so funny.”
“He constantly jokes with me about how itchy our relationship feels at seven years, which very much keeps me laughing, because I know he’s joking,” she explains, adding, “We have really good communication skills. I think that’s what allows us to survive.”
UPDATE: This really didn't take long at all. OK, just 10 hours for Kristen Bell to raise the needed funds to shoot a Veronica Mars movie. More percisly just 10 hours afte going public with her pitch for fans to help fund the project.
She tweeted her exciting news:
“I love you guys. You are all SO spectacular. I am speechless."
It's official, Kristen Bell and her hubby Dax Shepard are expecting their first child.
“They’re so excited - they’re both ecstatic,” a friend of the couple told the magazine. “Kristen had a little bit of morning sickness early on but she just started shooting the second season of ‘House of Lies’ and is feeling great now.”
They duo got engaged in 2009 and haven't set a specific date for their wedding. They want everyone to be able to tie the knot before they can. Both Bell and Shepard have been strong advocates for same-sex marriage.
