Katy Perry Leads The '2011 MTV Video Music Awards' Nominations With Nine

It could amount to be a big night for Katy Perry at the VMA Awards as the songstress leads the pack with nine total nominations.

The official list of nominees were announced on Thursday for the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.

Tied for second is Kanye West and Adele who each scored a total of seven nominations.

The biggest award of the night For "Video of the Year" include the nominees:  "Rolling in the Deep," "Firework," Tyler, The Creator's "Yonkers," Bruno Mars's "Grenade" and the Beastie Boys' "Make Some Noise."

Brono Mars has four nominations, and three each for Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj and Eminem.

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards airs live Aug. 28 on MTV at 9PM ET.

As for Slim Shady, he's back at it again! This time his hate list includes Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber for his new song A Kiss on Hell: The Sequel.

AmoreMagazine.com's '53rd Annual Grammy Awards' Roundup

So what did you think about the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night? Katy Perry brought her own real Grammy, (her 90-something year old grandmother,) Lady Gaga arrived in an alien egg, and Florence Welch, Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride, Yolanda Adams and Jennifer Hudson sung a tribute to Aretha Franklin.

The big winners of the night were Lady Antebellum with five Grammys, Lady Gaga, Jay-Z and John Legend each won three Grammys, Eminem received two Grammys.

All in all it was a good night, but the show and performances seems to drag on. By far not the best for the music awards show spectacular.

Eminem Leads Grammy Nominations with 10

Are you excited for the Grammys? Eminem and Bruno Mars are, as they have the most nominations of any musician this year. Eminem picked up nine nominations including, Album of the Year. As for Bruno Mars, he picked up 7 total nominations.

Another nominees for this year's Grammys include Lady Antebellum, Jay-Z and Lady Gaga which all picked up six nods.

Gaga was also nominated for Album of the Year, Eminem will face off against Gaga, Katy Perry, Lady Antelbellum, and Arcade Fire in that category.

The biggest surprise, Ke$ha did not get nominated.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards takes place Sunday, February 13th at 8PM on CBS.

If your name was Eminem, Bieber, or Gaga you did quite well on Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga who was nominated for 13 awards received 8 of the moon men.

Gaga announced the name of her new album titled Born This Way while accepting the award (above) for Video of the Year.

Comedian Chelsea Handler hosted the big night opening the show with a skit that included Lindsay Lohan. A performance by Eminem opened the show with Not Afraid transitioning to Love the Way You Lie joined on stage by Rihanna. Kanye West closed the show with his new song, Runaway.

Well that marriage didn't last long! Before you draw conclusions, Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are still happy newly weds, even though Fox was seen kissing Lost star Dominic Monaghan on Friday. The lip lock was a scene for a new music video for Rihanna and Eminem's hit song The Way You Lie.

No word on if Green was on set to "monitor" his new wife.
